The Demented Cartoon Movie!
I’m pretty sure I’ve posted about this somewhere way back in the blog archives, but it randomly showed up in my “for you” on YouTube and it brought back SO MANY memories from junior high/high school. I used to watch this all the time and longed to have the skills/patience in Flash to make anything even half as long.
That “hmmmmmmmmmm” sound still goes through my head to this day.

We had a big ol’ cable box back when we lived with my grandma and grandpa as a kid, and one of the channels we got was the Game Show Network. Back then (I don’t know if it still does or if the channel even still exists), it frequently showed older game shows mixed in with the newer ones. One that was fairly frequent was the old Hollywood Squares episodes from the late 60s-70s – the ones where Paul Lynde was frequently the center square.
Anyway, I’m bringing that up because I found this great video on YouTube today:

This is hysterical. Also very accurate based on my experiences taking upper level math courses. Though the only class I ever had that announced the grade breakdown of exams was my computer science class.

As someone who’s been a TA and is now a prof, this is super relatable. I think I was closest to the “Needs to Give a ‘Short’ Lecture Every Lab” but every once and a while I was the “Basically, It’s Like.”
The “Never Comes Prepared” one is pretty great.

So hey, I found a Brian Regan routine on YouTube that I’ve never heard before!
Not as good as his old stuff, but still pretty good. That fireworks noise at 6:19 and when he messes up the horse racing joke at 33:13 had me really laughing like crazy.
