Oh my god YES. I’m getting the hell out of Wallace next year! I’m off to…
McConnell. Haha. Yeah, another residence hall, but it’s not in Wallace and it’s supposedly quieter. That’s all I ask…
And none of these bunk bed doohickeys. SINGLE ROOMS, BABY!
Seventh
You know what I miss? 7th grade. It was a fun time. I know none of you know (except for Aneel), but it rocked.
Haha, I remember messing around with Ross after school, and Jimmy, his son (who was a coat, I think) and Nell, Aneel’s puffy marshmallow coat. And then that whole thing with Ross throwing the snowballs at the white trash truck with the gun rack in the back. Man, that was hilarious.
Knowledge Bowl. Now THAT was fun. Me + Aneel + Ross = fail at every competition (mostly because we messed around and were always one person short of a full team) but hey—it was fun.
I miss it. It was not high school, and it was not catholic school.

Summer classes have yet to be finalized.
Ra-Ra-Rousseau!
Well, we’re back at the soul-sucking hellhole of college again. I really don’t like it here. Anyway, at least I owned my Core, English 258, and biology tests. Anything to get out faster.
Quick little blog here.
Sit down, shut up, and regurgitate!
Shazbutt! Here I am again, with new plans for summer (now that I’ve changed things around again):
English 210: May 14-June 22, 11:30-1:20
English 208: May 14-June 22, 1:30-3:20
That’s all, cause some genius decided to make it so that the second section of the summer sessions OVERLAPS with the first by about 10 days, so that if the classes you want to take in the second session are, say, from 1:30-3:20, YOU CAN’T TAKE THEM!!
Thog! Mind mammoth! It bite hard!
So we had a fun little thing to do in my fiction class today where we had to tell one the stories in our book as if it took place in a different setting. I thought it would be rather fun to do Carver’s “Cathedral” with cavemen (“What a cathedral? Mmm, Thog not know,” etc.). It was rather funny.
Yeah. That’s all I got today.
I Heart Descartes
I’m not usually the type of person who goes around saying, “I heart [insert name here],” but I found it necessary in this case, seeing as how it rhymes. Anyway…
Huttah!
I totally own the Enlightenment (well, I owned our test on the Enlightenment)!
I love the Enlightenment, but I’m not so enthused about Romanticism. It’s boring and nature-y. Blah.
And here’s something else…I just realized that I have a really violent name. I have the “claw” in Claudia and the “maul” in Mahler. It would be a rockin’ name if I become a serial killer someday. Bwahahaha…
Mmm…Descartes…
Though I probably won’t post my blogs until…oh…let’s say next Wednesday, I just wanted to explain why I haven’t been keeping up. In my lit class we’ve been deeply involved in…oh, what’s it called…oh yeah! THE ENGLIGHTENMENT!
I must say, I like it. I like it a lot. But today we had our test and now we’re moving on to Romanticism (ugh.).
So let the good times roll! Blogs will be appearing soon!
Waiter! There’s a Freudian in my Id!
Once again, I am questioning what I should do in regards to my major(s). I want to get the hell out of the U of I (meaning I want to get my bachelor’s degree in psych) in at most four years (but preferably three), but I also don’t want to limit my choice of other majors/minors because of that. Originally, I was a Psychology/Theatre/Music major, then a Psychology/Theatre major, and now a Psychology/English (with an emphasis in writing) major. Now I’m wondering whether or not to drop the English major and, in its place, minor in (all at the same time):
1. Writing. It’s basically the same thing as English, only it’s a minor and takes less time.
2. History. Cause I’m already halfway to a minor, anyway.
3. Philosophy. You know how I’ve always hated philosophy? Well, yeah. I like it now.
4. Possibly geology. Cause it only takes three classes to get a minor.
Noooo clue what I’m gonna do. None.
Help?
Band + sexual-based songs = fun
Huttah! He-brides! This is what my Tuesdays and Thursdays will consist of for about a month:
I. He-bride pirates shouting “scurvy!” and “arrrrrr!” and “throw me my sexin’ pants, me bucko!”
II. He-bride lovers running in slow motion towards each other because that’s what lovers do.
III. A completely non-sexual song about milking said he-brides.
IV. Something about the he-brides going to an isle. I’m still not quite sure about this one.
And so yeah. I love concert band.
I have plenty of class(es)!
Went to five of my six classes today (statistics has been pushed back until next Wednesday), and most of them seem pretty awesome. I’m going to love psychology, especially since we get to develop our own theory of personality (which I’ve already got mostly worked out–how sad is that?). Literature of Western Civilization (part 2!) is going to be rough, though. I’m scared. And biology. Don’t know how that’s going to turn out.
I haven’t used a smiley in awhile, have I?
Oh, crap! Almost forgot! Fillmore Fact™:
He had no formal education, he was a lawyer, and his nickname is the “American Louis Phillipe”…whoever that is.
Well, here we go again…
Crap, I’m nervous. Why does school make me so nervous? Especially the first day…we don’t ever do anything on the first day!
Gr!
Ulcers!
Vomiting!
This is not what I’d like to be doing right now!
FillmoreFact™:
He was the last of the Whigs! Holy crap, isn’t that historic? Also, here’s his very presidential-looking grave:

Where there’s smoke…there’s a campfire with roasting s’mores! HOLY CRAP, RUN!
NOOO! I got the Honors program thingy at the U of I chasing me! I hate that kind of crap. I do not want to be in the Honors program. The only reason I will join is if it is guaranteed that we can sign up at the same time as seniors (a point to be disregarded in another year for me, anyway).
I can’t really explain why I don’t want to join…I just don’t. But if it means I have a better chance get into the classes I want for the next year, then I suppose I can suffer. I won’t like these “required every-other-semester” honors classes, though. I’ll have trouble compacting my schedule around them.
Sc-sc-sc-schedule!
What do y’all think of this? It’s my FINAL schedule for next semester:
Monday/Wednesday/Friday
Statistics 251 (8:30-9:20)
Biology 102 (9:30-10:20)
English 292 (10:30-11:20)
English 258 (11:30-12:20)
Psychology 310 (12:30-1:20)
Core 166 (1:30-2:20)
Tuesday
Concert Band (12:30-1:20)
Thursday
Biology 102 lab (8:30-11:20)
Concert Band (12:30-1:20)
They need an “I’m forming an ulcer right now” mood
Hooray for a 4.0! Thank god I got an A in math…just…thank god. Now it’s time to start stressing about next semester…
…notice how short these’ve gotten over the past week?
You know those finals that never happened? Yeah, well they’re over now.
I really, really, really, really, really hope that I missed less than six questions on my math final and less than 18 on my psychology final.
Please, please, pleeeeease…
Damn math…
YES!!! I’m not wait listed for Creative Fiction anymore! LIFE IS GOOD!
…well…it will be once finals are over…
(math does this to me)
…and I know I got a 4.0.
Okaythatsallbye.
Sequel to
It’s time for summer school plan time now! These are the classes I want to take:
English 208 (cause I couldn’t fit it into my schedule this semester)
Some Shakespeare class that I can’t remember the number to (cause I need a Shakespeare class for the English major)
Computer Science 101 (to get it the hell over with)
Too much in four weeks during summer? NEVER! I am Jesus!
THANK GOD that’s over!!
Huttah!
So today, we finally got to perform (get over with) my play. Nobody out of the class showed up, but I guess that was kind of expected (why? I dunno).
Anyway, apparently, I write like “Chekov crossed with MAD TV.”
Now why doesn’t that surprise me?
Anyway, I’m glad it’s over.
Yay! One thing down!
Yay! One less thing to worry about: I finally got my monologue over with today.
Despite the outright bawling in front of everybody, I think it went okay…
But no more theatre class…no more you-know-who…
I am the Master of the Research Paper!
I flippin’ rock at research papers. Flippin’ rock.
The really sad thing, though, is that I love writing them.
Ask me about smell. I know a lot about smell and its connection with sex now.
69! 69!
Okay…something very scary is up with the Vandal Marching Band songbook:
“Lucretia Mac Evil” is song number 23.
“Tear the Pants off the Sucker” is song number 46.
These two song numbers, added, equal 69, which is the song “Come on Eileen.”
Therefore, we are led to the conclusion that if Lucretia Mac Evil were to Tear the Pants off the Sucker, someone would consequently Come on Eileen.
Either someone set this up or this is some horrible, hilarious coincidence.
“And just what do you think you’re doing, young man?”
Ahoy there good people! I changed my schedule around again! ‘Tis now:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday!
1. Statistics 251: 8:30-9:20
2. Biology 201: 9:30-10:20
3. English 292 (Creative Writing: Fiction): 10:30-11:20*
4. English 258 (Lit. of Western Civilization): 11:30-12:20
5. Psychology 110 (Psych. of Personality): 12:30-1:20
6. Core 166 (Sacred Journey): 1:30-2:20
And concert band from 12:30-1:20 on TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS! HOLY CRAP!
*wait-listed still.
They’re…they’re Cheetos™…they’re, they’re…they’re Cheetos™…
“In heaven there are no Cheetos™,
We won’t be able to eat those.
We’ll have to resort to Fritos™,
Our friends will have eaten all our Cheetos™!”
Sing to the melody of “The Beer Song”.
Only band geek clarinets (a.k.a. Maggie and myself) will truly understand the caliber of this song.
Aw crap…
As I’m signing up for classes, I realize that I’m technically a sophomore due to my credits. Therefore, I could’ve signed up yesterday and probably would have gotten into all the classes I wanted.
Piss.
