Hello again, fine readers! I’m sitting here doing this assignment for my social psychology class and I’m finding it very interesting. It’s an implicit attitudes test, and it basically measures what your “gut reactions” (for lack of a better term) are to certain topics, like religion, race, weight, gender, etc. We’re supposed to do three, and these two came out interestingly: Fat and Thin, and Gay and Straight.

I’m in that little 4% bar. This one I expected. However, I find it disturbing that so many people prefer to any degree thinner people to heavier people. I guess that’s just our culture mixed slightly with evolutionary preferences (such as the perfect female waist:hip ratio for reproduction, which, surprisingly, I’m really, really close to).

I’m in that little 6% bar. This one I was surprised at. This by no means suggests that I’m disappointed with my results, people! I’ve just always thought of myself as having equal preference for both sides. Maybe I slightly prefer gay people because I’ve actually started hanging out with more than one/two gay people I knew from high school—now I know about 10 gay people personally. Who knows? I really don’t care if you’re straight or gay.
I just thought it was interesting. Here’s the link if you want to try them out—I think there’s 14 of them.

Could not for the life of me see her spinning clockwise. Must be pretty left-brained!

Well, it’s that time of the year again. Anything more than twice a year is excessive. I’d do this tomorrow but I don’t want to blog about today.

I have little to say today, so I took a few quizzes. Hoo-hah!

What’s the Part of You That No One Sees?

What Song Should You Strip To?
Had to throw the stripper song in there!
Plus, I am in-freaking-love with Cape Cod Radio Mystery Theatre. Just thought I’d throw that out there. “The Hypnotist” is the scariest thing I’ve ever heard.
Shazaam!
New quiz, people! Adapted from Dewey Sadka’s book “The Dewey Color System.” I’ve had this book for years and decided to make a little quizzy out of it. Very simple. I didn’t do squat. Well, okay, I make the little results boxes. But other than that, I didn’t do squat. Hehe.
Link.
My result:

Something must be done about these damned hypnotists!

I’m a five. I kept the ones on here that sounded most like me.
How to Get Along with Me
Speak in a straightforward and brief manner.
I need time alone to process my feelings and thoughts.
Remember that If I seem aloof, distant, or arrogant, it may be that I am feeling uncomfortable.
What I Like About Being a Five
Standing back and viewing life objectively
Coming to a thorough understanding; perceiving causes and effects
My sense of integrity: doing what I think is right and not being influenced by social pressure
Not being caught up in material possessions and status
What’s Hard About Being a Five
Being slow to put my knowledge and insights out in the world
Feeling bad when I act defensive or like a know-it-all
Being pressured to be with people when I don’t want to be
Watching others with better social skills, but less intelligence or technical skill, do better professionally
Fives as Children Often
Spend a lot of time alone reading, making collections, and so on
Have a few special friends rather than many
Are very bright and curious and do well in school
Have independent minds and often question their parents and teachers
Watch events from a detached point of view, gathering information
Are sensitive; avoid interpersonal conflict
This just in: I have a blatant hatred for boring blog titles
Yeah. One of the last days (hopefully) of boredom. So I made another quiz. Well actually, this one’s more “adapted” than made. But still…
It’s really a dinky little thing. Not much to it.
Oh, and this short little clip that makes me laugh (Quagmire = hilarious):
“My whereabouts are none of your concern,” said the Little Star as he twinkle-twinkled
Hey people! I wrote another quiz!
Check it out: Which Punctuation Mark are You?
Twelve results! I’m insane!
Oh, and here are my others, if you’re so inclined…
What Member of “Team America” are You?
Which Founding Father are You?
Lewis and Clark: Which One are You?
What Shape are You?
Enjoy!

Boredom. Quiz time!

The masses never triumph! It is all an illusion, like those stupid “magic eye” things!
Life’s a funny thing, isn’t it? One day things are hell, the next everything seems to fall nicely into place. It’s frustrating, yet utterly delightful and intriguing.
Well anyway…
I decided today to take this one little personality test that I’d taken waaay back on September 27th of last year. I wanted to see how things have changed. What do you think?
Hmm…I’m more self-absorbed now, though I’m not really sure how that happened…if anything, I’d say the opposite occurred.
Sexuality and Peter Pan complex bit the dust…physical security is up, but I don’t know why…
Interesting. Overall, it’s proof that I don’t change much. If I would have done this back in second grade, I bet the similarity would still be there.
(max 95 characters)

Give it a shot. I’m almost an orange square (it was my second shape choice).
The music will either make you dance or drive you insane.
I’m bored.
Hm, who would have guessed?
Hmm…interesting. Perhaps one could say that the chart is fundamentally flawed, but still…it’s worth checking out.

If a tree falls in the forest, can we still have sex later?
I was bored today. I mean, more than normal. Here we go with some more tests!

Which Historical Lunatic Are You?
Haha, that rocks.

Sweet.

My turn, dammit!
Huttah! Thanks to E’raina and Maggie for making me do this. Some of the answers appear obvious mainly to those who experienced high school events with me, while others are obvious to college people. However, I constantly talk about all of this crap, so if you listen (or even pay slight attention about 10% of the time) you should to fine. Have fun!
There are only ten people in this room: you, me, and my butt
Remember those tests that I took yesterday? Here are some (funny and accurate) jokes about my types:
A FIVE’s answer to the “is the glass half-empty or half-full?” question: “Well, after measuring it precisely with my Fleuromaton instrument, I have concluded that the volume of dihydrogen oxide in this silicon-based vessel is 50.8%, thus qualifying it as roughly Half-Full.
An INTJ’s answer to the “is the glass half-empty or half full?” question: “How can you say it’s half-full? It’s half-empty! I refuse to listen to your reasoning!”
An INTJ’s dark side: All facts which don’t fit their theories are just wrong. The more all-encompassing and less applicable to reality the theories, the better.
The INTJ acronym: It’s Not Thoroughly Justified!
And finally, the top 10 signs you’re a FIVE (#1 is freakishly accurate for me):
10. You call your plants by their Latin names.
9. The more excited people around you get, the more drained you feel.
8. You spend your time at a party reading the books in the host’s library.
7. You communicate almost exclusively by e-mail.
6. Most of your friends are on e-mail, and you haven’t met any of them face to face.
5. You consider it a good vacation if you can stay at home with your computer, books, videos, and garden for a week.
4. You would like to do #5 for a living.
3. You’ve actually read Darwin’s “Origin of the Species” and think it would make an interesting movie.
2. Someone asks you how you feel about someone or something, and you tell them you’ll get back to them next week after you’ve had time to think about it.
1. You bite into a Snickers bar, and you immediately see the correlation between the dissolving chocolate/peanut mixture with quantum electrodynamics and the potential existance of dark matter in the universe, the association of Mozart’s unfinished symphony and the cryptographic origins of ancient Sumerian linguistics, and how the right handed Cartesian orthoganal system of coordinates aligns with Mitochondrial cellular respiration, giving you a new understanding of the role of derivatives in modern financial portfolio analysis, and the enneagrammatic functions inherent in Microsoft’s Windows 98. AND when you try to explain this simple relationship, people have no clue what the HELL you’re talking about.
Huttah!
So today I took a couple online temperament/personality type test thingies. The first one I took was an online version of the Keirsey Temperament Sorter, which is a test I’ve already taken (and was classified as an INTJ). According to the online test, I am still an INTJ (introverted, intuitive, thinker, judger), or a Mastermind. I seem to very much match the description:
“They are rather rare, comprising no more than, say, one percent of the population. Being very judicious, decisions come naturally to them; indeed, they can hardly rest until they have things settled, decided, and set. They are the people who are able to formulate coherent and comprehensive contingency plans, hence contingency organizers or “entailers.” Masterminds will adopt ideas only if they are useful, which is to say if they work efficiently toward accomplishing the Mastermind’s well-defined goals. Natural leaders, Masterminds are not at all eager to take command of projects or groups, preferring to stay in the background until others demonstrate their inability to lead. Once in charge, however, Masterminds are the supreme pragmatists, seeing reality as a crucible for refining their strategies for goal-directed action. In a sense, Masterminds approach reality as they would a giant chess board, always seeking strategies that have a high payoff, and always devising contingency plans in case of error or adversity. To the Mastermind, organizational structure and operational procedures are never arbitrary, never set in concrete, but are quite malleable and can be changed, improved, streamlined. In their drive for efficient action, Masterminds are the most open-minded of all the types. No idea is too far-fetched to be entertained-if it is useful. Masterminds are natural brainstormers, always open to new concepts and, in fact, aggressively seeking them. They are also alert to the consequences of applying new ideas or positions. Theories which cannot be made to work are quickly discarded by the Masterminds. On the other hand, Masterminds can be quite ruthless in implementing effective ideas, seldom counting personal cost in terms of time and energy.”
Several Masterminds include Isaac Newton, Stephen Hawking, President Ulysses S. Grant, Friedrich Nietzsche, Thomas Jefferson, Augustus Caesar, and Ayn Rand.
Then I took another couple of tests to find out my Enneagram type. I’m a FIVE (the thinker/investigator):
“People of this personality type essentially fear that they don’t have enough inner strength to face life, so they tend to withdraw, to retreat into the safety and security of the mind where they can mentally prepare for their emergence into the world. Fives feel comfortable and at home in the realm of thought. They are generally intelligent, well read and thoughtful and they frequently become experts in the areas that capture their interest. While they are sometimes scientifically oriented, especially with the Six wing, just as many Fives are drawn to the humanities and it is not at all uncommon for Fives to have artistic inclinations. Fives are often a bit eccentric; they feel little need to alter their beliefs to accommodate majority opinion, and they refuse to compromise their freedom to think just as they please. The problem for Fives is that while they are comfortable in the realm of thought, they are frequently a good deal less comfortable when it comes to dealing with their emotions, the demands of a relationship, or the need to find a place for themselves in the world. Fives tend to be shy, nonintrusive, independent and reluctant to ask for the help that others might well be happy to extend to them.”
Several Fives include Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking (again), Stanley Kubrick, Friedrich Nietzsche (again), and Vincent Van Gogh.
So yeah. I’m pretty much these.
Don’t mess with the MASTERMIND FIVE!!
Fun with quizzes II

Hooray! Favorite color!

M
You are emotional and intense. When involved in a relationship, you throw your entire being into it. Nothing stops you; there are no holds barred. You are all consuming and crave someone who is equally passionate and intense. You are willing to try anything and everything. Your supply of sexual energy is inexhaustible. You also enjoy mothering your mate..
This was based off of the first letter of my last name. I would enjoy mothering my mate…if I had one.
Fun with quizzes I

Rhombus, eh? Fun!

“Child of Uranus”…*snicker*…I’m so immature…
ORANGE: Lovers of the color orange lean toward sexual fantasies. The sex act is regarded as a dramatic one-act play in which they are the star. Foreplay is as important as the act of love. They whisper sweet nothings, meaningless dialogue; they feel it is their image. Orange people often do not experience orgasm – but they put on a darn good act. Men tend to pull their partner’s hair, and women leave red welts on the sex partner’s back.
Why are these so accurate?!
In a nutshell…
…lies a nut, most likely.

The points I agree with: orderliness, stability, intellectual, artistic, religious, work ethic, need to dominate, avoidant, individuality, histrionic, paranoia, vanity, hypersensitivity.
The points I disagree with: Anti-authority, sexuality, Peter Pan complex, female cliche (ahem).
AND…only 30% self-absorbed? I need to work on that.
My quizzes…my results
Well, since I made all these quizzes (4 of them) during the summer, I figured it’s about time for me to put my results up on here (along with the current stats of each quiz):
“What Member of Team America are You? (taken 45 times)

“Which Founding Father are You?” (taken 42 times)

“Lewis and Clark–Which One are You?” (taken 9 times)

“What Shape are You?” (taken 114 times)

There ya go! Now take them and post your results, dangit!
