A Music Blog!
It’s not like I have one of those every other day, huh??
??????
??
?? ?
?
Anyway.
Music #1: I had the “Mr. Booze” song from Family Guy stuck in my head all afternoon. Whether you like Family Guy or not, you have to give Seth MacFarlane credit for how good he is at finding catchy songs and having them sung very well.
Music #2: Again, even though it’s not an original, Peter singing the entirety of the “Shipoopi” song from The Music Man as a touchdown celebration is pretty great, too.
(Now I want to watch The Music Man)
Music #3: While on my walk this morning, I had my “favorites” playlist on shuffle and this song came up. I hadn’t listened to it in a long time and I forgot how beautifully heartbreaking it is.
Music #4: I absolutely love this song. I would have lost my mind if I had been at this thing.
END!
Ugh, the BASS
I love the original* so much, and anything that adds more bass to it gets a pass from me.
I say it with every song I listen to, I know, but damn this sounds good on the Sennheisers.
*Technically the original song was called Valerie by Steve Winwood, but Eric Prydz sampled it and the result was so awesome that Winwood actually changed the chorus of his song to match Prydz’ version better.
Pulse
This song still slaps EVEN WHEN IT’S SLOWED DOWN
I love how chill this is.
Hi, excuse me, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS
One of my absolute favorite songs of all time PLUS AN ORCHESTRA????
Those low strings, nnnf I love them.
Edit: screw it, have playlist, this is amazing. Electronic music + symphony = basically everything I could ever ask for.
Edit again: I can’t stop listening to this, send help.
Prediction:
Eric Prydz’ “Call On Me” will always be a Five-Star for me. I can’t remember the first time I heard this song, but it was a good while ago and I’ve loved it ever since. I predict it will survive both the onslaught of the remaining years of my Decade of Music Project as well as the eventual Five-Star Purge, where I trim my Five-Stars down to like 20 or 25 songs instead of 50.
I mean, listen to this baby.
(Also, the music video is basically porn, so that’s a plus too.)
Okay bye.
This music video is basically porno
This song is called “Call On Me” by Erik Prydz. It’s one of my favorite songs. And the music video to it is amazing.
This thing is basically porn. It’s better than porn. It’s scantily-clad women in 80s outfits doing obscene things with towels. I love this song even more every time I watch this.
I wish the rec center offered classes like this, man.
I’d go.
