THREE THINGS TODAY IN ORDER OF OCCURRENCE

Thing The One: it’s nice to know I can crap out 50k without having to build up to it past the marathon distance (probably because I run a marathon almost every week).

Thing The Deuce: my Fitly water running pack finally bit it today. It didn’t break during my run, fortunately, but once I got home and was unzipping one of the front pockets to get my key, the little fabric/plastic holder for one of the shoulder straps broke. It’s not actually fabric so I don’t think I can sew it, and I don’t know if I’d trust glue on it given I usually take that thing on 4+ hour runs.

Thing The Three: my mom is here for a week!

Yayz.

Shoutout to Fitly

I’m pretty sure I’ve posted about these before, but if you are into running and want a fantastic running pack, give Fitly a try.

Their minimalist pack is SO light and comfortable. I wear this in the fall/winter/spring (when I don’t need to take water with me) and I seriously forget I’m wearing it.

Their hydro running pack is what I wear in the summer when it’s hot enough that I want to bring water just in case. Compared to a lot of the other water-carrying running packs I see people wear, this one is super low profile and doesn’t bounce around much (and probably wouldn’t bounce at all on anyone who’s even a little bit larger/taller than me. I’m so short I have to have everything on the tightest setting and it’s still a bit big, haha).

I’ve only seen one other person with a Fitly up here, which is shocking, ‘cause they’re SO GOOD.

Get one!

(I’m not getting paid by them, I promise.)

Aloha, Nerd Bags, It’s the May List!

Who cares? No one cares. But here we go anyway.

  • Out of the Park 20 is no longer updating, meaning that there are no more simulated games, meaning that I can’t earn any more points to potentially enhance my team. Which blows, because I have a freaking great team. Nine perfect cards? Hello??
  • I mentioned on here a while ago that I use the Fitly Sub45 for my runs. I love it because it fits perfectly and holds everything I need (phone, keys, mask, cards, etc.). But it’d be nice to have some water on the hotter runs, too. So I ordered the Fitly Sub90, which comes with a water flask and a drinking tube. I haven’t tried it out yet, but I’m excited to!
  • This is actually a banger.

Eh. I’m done. Who cares.
