The Manly Hour
Me after washing my hair and brushing it all back like I used to do when I did drag:
“I’m sorry, I thought you was corn.”
After a conversation with Maggie yesterday night, I remembered that Claude had a MySpace that’s about a year old now. However, god knows what the login info is, so a new one was created.
He needs friends! He also wants to make it to Pride in August, so hopefully that will happen.
Also, I feel ridiculously hot (temperature-wise, not attractive-wise) today, but apparently my temperature is about 95-ish. Weird.
Today’s song: Right Here, Right Now (radio edit) by BWO feat. Velvet
Hooray for a break in the monotony that is excessive amounts of schoolwork
So.
Tonight was the most fun I’ve had in a long, long time. Granted, I couldn’t see during the performance, but it sounded like we did a good job. Sincere thanks to MissDemeanor for letting Claude steal a bit of the limelight. He would definitely love to perform again.
Now I’m off to do homework and, possibly, if time permits, sleep.
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la!
Two items of interest today:
1) I just realized that my 21st birthday will be on a Monday. Isn’t that the absolute worst day to have a 21st? Wow. That’s really funny, but only because I don’t plan on going out and drinking. ‘Cause if that was my plan, I’d be incredibly pissed.
2) I just thought of the BEST last name for Claude. Ladies and gentlemen, he will now be known as Claude Longscrew. Worship him. He is a god.
That is all.
What a drag
Despite the stares, the laughs, and the at least four instances of, “oh, I get it, you’re a guy!” (no…really, Einstein?), today was freaking awesome. I honestly didn’t think I’d be that comfortable in male clothing (and facial hair) outside of the drag shows, especially walking around campus. But I did feel comfortable, very comfortable.
Almost to a scary point, actually.
Yeah, it was a good day.
Madman, I’m a Madam!
Last night Matt and I went down to The Beach to the drag show they were holding for Psycho de Mayo. Each of us went as the opposite sex and we had a lot of fun. I had no idea such crazy, wonderful people as the drag queens existed in Moscow, but they do, and I’m glad.
Here are a few things I learned:
1) There are some times when you just have to forget about impending finals (yeah, this is me saying this).
2) When sober people truly let go and allow themselves to be free, it is a beautiful, beautiful thing.
3) When drunks do it it’s kinda disturbing.
4) I suck at pool.
5) Matt’s better than me at pool.
6) I suck at dancing.
7) Matt’s better than me at dancing.
8) Poles are fun.
9) Bring more dollar bills next time.
10) Apparently, some guy’s really wondering if “anybody wants to have sex tonight.”
