Trumpster Dumpster vs. Canada

This is a really good overview of the Canadian attitudes and thoughts on the upcoming election, the influence of Trump, and the thoughts about America in general. Please watch it, my American friends, so you get an idea of what’s going on up north.

It really has been a huge, palpable surge of patriotism over the past few months. Canada is very different than the US when it comes to overt, visible displays of patriotism. But there is a lot of blatant national pride right now. Flags everywhere, the “elbows up” thing, etc. It’s really, really interesting.

And off we go!

It’s tariff time and the responses are pretty much what you’d expect up here.

Angry Trudeau.

Angry Trudeau Part 2.

Part 3.

The US-Canada relationship is going to be damaged for a long, long time. That’s so freaking sad.

Edit: this little mini film popped up in my YouTube feed this afternoon. It originally aired during the 2010 Vancouver Olympics talking about the close relationship between the two countries. Watching it now made me cry.

I just have one thing to ask:

Why are the majority of Americans so FUCKING STUPID?

WHY IS TRUMPSTER DUMPSTER GOING TO BE PRESIDENT AGAIN??

Why didn’t anyone tell me…

…about this ABSOLUTE BANGER?

This has been around for seven years. Clearly I have been slacking when it comes to searching for music.

Also, this is literally the only good thing that’s come out of Trump’s involvement in politics.

So, uh…

You know it’s pretty bad when the President of the United States of America basically preaches an idea that was in an episode of Metalocalypse several years ago.

Just sayin’.

Hypocrites

I was watching the CTV news while I was running on the treadmill this afternoon. They had some “scientist” from Trump’s team talking about the great myth that is climate change. And he was contradicting the hell out of himself. For example:

“Climate change is a myth that has been blown way out of proportion by the liberals. Climate change isn’t happening.”

Then, in the next sentence, “It’s important that the US not limit its coal and oil production, as the extra monetary protection will be beneficial once the climate changes.”

Like, seriously. That’s almost word-for-word.

We’re screwed.
