AP
Yo, fools!
Awhile back (2011), I decided to try taking an online practice version of the AP Statistics exam. I think it went okay (I unfortunately didn’t record my exact final score on the multiple choice, ‘cause I’m a loser), but I decided to try it again because, you know, I’ve actually got a better background for it now.
Well, not the same practice test. I found a newer one (2010 I think?) on which there were fewer multiple choice questions but the questions were decidedly more difficult. This time I ended up getting 16/18 correct (I shouldn’t have missed one of the ones I did; I just completely blanked on how to do it, even though I’ve taught it in lab like 20 times).
Anyway. If you want to give it a shot, it’s located here!
Rock, Paper, Hammer
So I finally finished the practice AP stats exam that I told you all about a week or so ago. I was going to do the whole thing, but the long answer section is, well, long (it would take a couple hours). So I just did the multiple choice section.
Because I only did the multiple choice, I can’t actually calculate what my final score would be. However, based on my multiple choice score, my probability of getting a 5 is about .80, while my probability of getting a 4 is about .19.
So it’s reassuring to know that the last four or so years I’ve spent studying statistics hasn’t left me in the mar of numerical ignorance.
Now I want to do factor analyses.
Can’t Get No STATisfaction

Haha, dude, I’m so going to take the practice AP statistics exam. We had absolutely nothing resembling any AP math/stats classes at Moscow High School (we had English and, I think, chemistry, but chem was only offered during Zero Hour so screw that) and I don’t know anybody who actually had AP stats as an option, so I don’t know exactly how “advanced” it gets.
Must resist looking through it until I decide to sit down and actually take it.
I’ll let you know how good/crappy I did once I actually sit down and do it.
Crap, I’m tired.
2 AP tests in a row. I do not recommend it. Especially when the second one is U.S. history, and that’s the one you’re rusty on because you took the class last year but forgot to turn in the money in time to get the test so you have to cram in several centuries of information into your head in a short period of time.
Blah. Tired. Sorry this one is so boring…I’m just about ready to die.
One Life Lesson and AP English
Today I shared one of life’s lessons with my friends: never take a Gerber jar and suck your lips into it until it turns your skin purple and you have to walk around with a purple ring around your mouth for a week. Just thought I’d like to share that.
I also took the AP English exam this morning, which lasted for 3 hours. Not a fun time, but I think I did okay. Tomorrow I have to take the AP History exam because we forgot to pay in time to take it last year. Poop.
Must…study…Reagan administration…
