OH MY GOD A THING

Relax, it’s just a survey.

1. What do you think is the most unique thing about your generation?
I think the “middle” Millennials (like 1986-1992 maybe?) are the most unique in the sense that we were born on this sort of cusp of technology, more so even than the rest of our generation. We didn’t have computers/internet readily accessible when we were born, but they started to become more integral to life around our mid- to late-childhoods. I remember we had a computer when I was five or so, but internet access was slow and the internet itself didn’t have much to offer yet. Hell, I didn’t even really use the internet until junior high (which is also when I got my first email address). We grew up with technology, quite literally.

2. Do you speak out as often as you should?
Nope.

3. How often are you tough and unreasonable?
Just with my walking/running schedules. Don’t mess with those or I’ll cut you.

4. Do you believe that sometimes you learn more from a failure than a success?
Sure.

5. Do you feel that you always have to win?
I hate not winning. I mean, no one likes to lose, but I am a very sore loser. I remember I’d cry in elementary school when I didn’t win a competition or even a game. I still cry…on the inside.

6. Do you think tradition matters?
Some tradition can. I think it can be easily overvalued, but I definitely think there’s some value to a lot of traditional things.

7. Do you tend to root for the underdog?
No, actually. I’m one of those weirdos who roots for the powerhouse.

8. Have you ever felt that you want to exceed your parents’ successes?
Not…really? I’ve always wanted to earn enough money so that I could take care of my parents, though.

9. Of all the cartoon characters that you know of, which is most like you?
I was very much Double D from Ed, Edd, n’ Eddy when I was a kid.

10. What was the last event or situation that got you really excited?
Going back to Moscow for a few weeks earlier this year. It had been too long and it was really nice to just get a break.

11. How old were you when you started working and what was your first job?
My first *actual* job, working at Wendy’s occurred when I was 19.

12. Tell us about your grandparents.
My grandpa on my mom’s side and my grandma on my dad’s side were great. I don’t remember too much of my grandpa on my dad’s side. My grandma on my mom’s side was the literal devil.

13. Do you procrastinate or are you usually on top of situations?
I try really hard not to procrastinate.

14. What would others say about you?
I’ve stopped caring what others say/think about me.

15. Do you believe in life on other planets?
Sure. I’m sure there’s life in our solar system that we just can’t recognize as life.

16. When was the last time that you were called too thin?
I don’t think I’ve ever been called too thin.

17. Do you work out? Have you ever joined a gym and quit almost immediately?
I walk or run 17+ miles a day (except for my off day). I used to belong to Anytime Fitness, but I’m scared to go in a gym now thanks to COVID.

18. Do you feel that you utilize all your intelligence in every situation?
…does anyone?

What sayest thou? Speak!
