BLEH.
Today was the last day of my French class.
It was also our draft day for fantasy baseball, but I could only stay for half an hour because I had to go teach at 3:30, meaning I wasn’t able to handpick my whole team and had to let the auto-draft take over after I was able to get…five?…six? guys I wanted.
So I’m lacking enthusiasm, because who are these random-ass guys and why are they on my team?
Bleh.
Third
I came in third place in fantasy baseball! That’s definitely an improvement over last year (seventh place out of eight) and ties my best placing two years ago.
Though it is kind of sad that I had freaking Shohei Ohtani giving one of the most ridiculous performances in the history of baseball and I could still only come in third, but my husband is an unstoppable, unmovable force when it comes to fantasy sports so there was no way I could have won, anyway.
I’ll take it
I have no idea how that managed to work out, but I SOMEHOW made the playoffs (top 4 of 8) in fantasy baseball. That means I have a chance* of winning rather than having to play for one of the four bottom positions.
*I have no chance of winning because my freaking husband is also in the playoffs and he is unbeatable.

So I ended up getting third place in our fantasy baseball league!
Not too bad for my first time I guess. It really helped that my team was like 75% Mets and the Mets had a good year. It’s going to be hard to pick a different set of dudes next year, but the odds that I’d be able to get the exact same set are pretty low.

Oh god, I’m in the playoffs in fantasy baseball!
I mean, I guess we technically all are, but only the top four get a chance to end up in first place, and I’m in the top four!
